2019 PROGRAMME
“Pleasure and action make the hours seem short.”
Our 2019 programme promises to be one of our most ambitious yet!
WINTER
We'll be opening our 13th year with our 40th show, MEASURE FOR MEASURE
SPRING
GSC's annual celebration for Shakespeare's Birthday - WILL'S BIRTHDAY BASH - will once again comprise The GSC Young Company (14-15 April), a staged reading of King John (24 April) and our ever-popular Sonnet Walk Weekend (27-28 April)
SUMMER
This summer we're staging a fabulous comic confection with two of Shakespeare's finest, and funniest, comedies. In June TWELFTH NIGHT (13-29 June) will see us return to the Bandstand in Guildford Castle Gardens for the first time since 2016, whilst our second show in July, THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR (13 - 27 July), will be staged at a brand new venue - Stoke Park Railway!
AUTUMN
Part fairy-tale, part odyssey, Shakespeare’s rarely seen ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL will be staged in Guildford before our first London transfer to Jermyn Street Theatre in Piccadilly!
