2024: GSC TURNS 18!

2024 marks 18 years since we began making theatre in Surrey.

The 2024 programme celebrates our unique site-responsive legacy, alongside GSC's diverse community and education projects. There's new adaptations, new venues, old favourites and one of our most ambitious summers to date!

We can't wait to share it all with you.

Read on to find out what's on store...

5 - 24 February

We're kicking off our 18th birthday year with a brand-new adaptation of Jane Austen’s gloriously feel-good romantic comedy, staged in Surrey’s largest Georgian church. Adaptor & Director ABIGAIL PICKARD PRICE.

13 & 14 April - Our flagship youth theatre, the GSC YOUNG COMPANY present their annual public performance. Devised by the company, written by THEO TOKSVIG-STEWART, directed by ROB CANN

21 April - Our ever-popular Shakespeare Walks return for another magical mystery walking-tour where you’ll encounter Shakespeare and his characters in the least likely of places.... and this year we'll be exploring CRANLEIGH and the brand-new KNOWLE PARK.

21 JUNE - 13 JULY

In celebration of GSC’s 18 years of theatre-making, this summer we're combining all our resources into ONE huge open-air show. Shakespeare’s exhilarating love story will burst onto the streets of Guildford as we retell Verona’s timeless tale across some of Guildford’s most iconic landmarks.

The professional cast will be joined by a community chorus, made up from local performers, schools, colleges and GSC's own drama clubs. It promises to be an event not to be missed! Directed by our Co-Founder MATT PINCHES.

NOV/DEC 2024 (dates TBC)

Building on the runaway success of 2023’s Boeing, Boeing, Gone!, we’re developing another brand new immersive Murder Mystery experience, in another awesome mystery location!
