FAMILY WELL-BEING

This will be our sixth year partnering with registered Dramatherapists to deliver this unique well-being programme. We're incredibly grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund and the players of the National Lottery who have funded this 6th year.

WITH MY EYES

WHAT IS THIS PROGRAMME?

The purpose of With My Eyes is to allow a family to break the cycle of mental health issues in a safe environment. Both generations are given the chance to work together, creating a sense of mutual understanding. They then move into separate rooms, so each group is provided with tailored sessions, while building a new support network.

COURSE DETAILS (SUMMER 2024)

Dates: 18th April – 11th July (no session on 30th May) 12 weeks
Time: Thursday evenings, 7.00-8.15pm
Location: GSC HQ in Stoke Park, Guildford

TO REFER A FAMILY

This course is completely free to attend and includes group trips to GSC’s professional theatre shows, which are a great bonding experience for the groups and generates further topics of conversation.

We will consider any family that has a child (aged 13-18) with mental health and social difficulties.

Please download and complete our With My Eyes Referral Form 2024 and reply to [email protected]

PLAY ON

Play On is a drama club for past-participants of our outreach projects. The sessions allow us to provide further support and grow our relationship with them, while they relax and enjoy theatre games with other young people.

Play On is run by GSC facilitators, allowing us to continue our relationship with children from our existing outreach programmes. In turn the participants are given much needed consistency and a safe, fun environment to express themselves.

“I have witnessed incredible improvements in the participant’s confidence and self-esteem. The positive impact that this new regular weekly class is having on their well-being is evident from the energy, laughter and enjoyment they all share.” Rob Cann, GSC’s Education Manager

Play On is made possible by generous support by The Wrentham Trust
