GSC Young Company
Following in the footsteps of our professionals, the GSC Young Company is a weekly course for 12-18 yr olds. Members devise and rehearse a brand new play inspired by our professional season. Each show is staged in a local Guildford venue, emulating our company's site-responsive philosophy.

THE 23/24 YOUNG COMPANY IS NOW FULLY SUBSCRIBED
The Young Company is a very special group of young creative talents, aged 12-18. It's a safe place to discover who you are, to learn about the power of theatre and Shakespeare, to make friendships and to come together to create stories and explore where your creativity can take you.
Over the course of two terms, the Young Company work to create a bespoke devised production based on the plots, themes and characters taken from our main GSC productions. In previous years, Young Company have taken inspiration from Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Henry V. The course culminates with public performances in a central Guildford venue during the Easter Holidays.
"Young Company community has meant so much to be over the last three years. I love having a supportive place to create a beautiful show every Thursday" -Young Company Member 2022/23

INTRODUCING... OUR GSC YOUNG COMPANY WRITER
GSC is thrilled to welcome back the wonderful Theo Toksvig-Stewart as our Young Company writer! Theo will be writing our script based on the devised work of our talented young company members.
Theo is a dyslexic writer and actor based in London (originally from Guildford!). He spends most of his time checking his scripts for spelling mistakes.
His plays have been performed across the country and he has just written his first episode of television to be broadcast in 2023, and is currently developing an original television series.
Theo has worked on several projects writing and developing work with young people. He is very excited to continue this work with GSC and see what the minds of the Young Company come up with!
