#ATHOMEWITHGSC 2020

Watch a short message from our Co-Founder Matt Pinches, on behalf of GSC

Between the end of March and June 2020, when the UK went into a nationwide lockdown due the coronavirus pandemic, we set about curating a special programme of online events to inspire and entertain.

We were hugely indebted to the GSC team and the many GSC artists who donated their time and talent to this venture.

GSC's Rude Mechanicals

From Actors to Directors, Choreographers to Stage Managers, Audio Describers to Costume Designers, find out what goes into making a GSC show happen. Members of our artistic teams discuss everything from their career paths to working in the open air.

These can all be found on our dedicated Podcast Channel - The Green Room

Meet the GSC Team (YouTube)

Meet one of the core members of the GSC Team in a short pre-recorded video. They'll explain a little about their role and their journey with GSC so you can learn a little more about what makes the theatre company tick.

"NOW THE HUNGRY LION ROARS"

GSC drama club participants celebrate midsummer.

Shades of Summer (YouTube)

Every Wednesday across the summer we're looking back at one of our open-air shows from the last 14 years, from Much Ado About Nothing in 2006 to Merry Wives in 2019.

The actors of tomorrow, today!

We work with some fabulously talented young actors at GSC, as part of our Young Company, Saturdays and Trinity Exams.

We're incredibly proud of them, and so every Thursday we showcased their performances recorded at home.

Our FREE well-being project.

A course of online content focusing on theatre-making and general wellbeing. See below for videos, audio and text to help you develop new skills and learn from GSC professionals; co-created by Francesca and Ant, and led by them with dramatherapist Louise Best.

SHAKESPEARE'S 456th BIRTHDAY

Discover how we celebrated Shakespeare's birthday in lockdown - songs, games and talks.

A Chat with Matt

Based on his sell-out talk from 2014 about the early years of Shakespeare's life - FROM COUNTRY LAD TO UPSTART CROW - across 8 episodes our Co-Founder Matt looks at a different theme in young Will's life and how these may have influenced his work.
