COVID-19 may have scuppered a lot of things in 2020, including our annual open-air season, but we were thrilled to create a brand-new outdoor show across\u00a0the Bank Holiday Weekend.<\/p>\n
THY ETERNAL SUMMER <\/strong>was a celebration of Shakespeare, community and the joy of sharing a live theatre experience once again. The show, whose title comes from Sonnet 18 (go on, look it up), featured some of Shakespeare\u2019s best-loved scenes and sonnets from plays including amongst others Hamlet<\/em>, A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream <\/em>and Much Ado About Nothing<\/em>.<\/p>\n Working with Guildford Borough Council, we were given special permission to stage this pilot event across three venues in the centre of town, attended by over 800 people.<\/p>\n \"All my best Shakespeare moments together with some of my very favourite actors - what more could I want.\"<\/strong><\/em> Audience Member<\/p>\n \"One of my happiest moments in the last six months.\"<\/strong><\/em> Audience Member<\/p>\n Co-Founder Matt chats with Peter Gordon about how GSC brought live open-air theatre back to Guildford.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Find out who played what, and where.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
