“Absolutely fabulous” “Astounding confidence and comic timing” “How do they do it?”
These are just some of the many wonderful comments that I heard as the audience filed out of the historic Guildhall following the Young Company’s first performance of Love & Wonder last night… and every one is justly deserved.
It has been such a pleasure to watch this company of young performers grow in confidence and skill. You can tell when a group of actors enjoy working together – it’s evident from the energy on stage – and this was really apparent last night.
We are proud to have them represent GSC, and hugely thankful to the dedication of the Education Team. The Young Company is billed as ‘following in the footsteps of the professional company’ and this 3rd production bears that out. Fran has directed a slick and ambitious show which is hilarious and heart-breaking; Ant’s script deftly brings the three plays together into a fascinating adventure; Beth’s design is strikingly detailed; whilst Indiana’s attention to detail is also clearly apparent.
Both performances have sold out, and rightly so. A huge well done for fabulous team triumph.
