WHAT THE CONCERT IS RAISING MONEY FOR
Put Up Your Swords
As part of Guildford Shakespeare Company's commitment to using theatre for social impact, we are leading "Put Up Your Swords", an eight-week knife crime awareness project. In collaboration with local schools, Surrey Police, Crime Stoppers, and the University of Surrey, this program uses Shakespeare’s timeless themes of conflict and reconciliation to engage young people in critical conversations about violence and its consequences. Charlie’s Promise
Guildford Lions are also supporting Charlie’s Promise, a charity founded by a local family in memory of their 17-year-old son, Charlie, who tragically lost his life to knife crime. Through education, awareness, and community action, Charlie’s Promise works tirelessly to prevent similar tragedies and create a safer future for young people. Click to learn more
