ABOUT
Our hit feel-good 2019 production reimagined as a 70s sitcom – what’s not to love?!
Filmed by our actors completely independently during 2020’s various lockdowns, and brought together with some miraculous editing across four half-hour episodes, this unique take on The Merry Wives of Windsor is fabulous fun. It’s also a great way to support the arts and the actors involved, with all profits being split between the actors who gave up their spare time to film it.
Falstaff is down on his luck, and needs cash. And what better way to get some than by seducing Mrs Page and Mrs Ford, the wives of rich men? But these ‘Merry Wives’ are quick witted and game for a laugh, and Falstaff will soon find the tables turned against him…
Big, bold and brash (think Abigail’s Party meets ‘Allo ‘Allo), this rollicking romp of egos, envy and avarice, is hugely entertaining; the perfect pre-Christmas ‘Shakespeare-with-a-twist’ treat.
