We're immensely proud and delighted that our Honorary President Joanna Read as been appointed the new Chief Exec and Director of Yvonne Arnaud. As our Co-Founder Matt Pinches said in this week's Surrey Advertiser "This is splendid news. Joanna Read is an inspired choice at such a pivotal time"
Jo first worked with GSC in 2008, directing The Comedy of Errors, returning in 2009 for Two Gents at the Uni of Surrey Lake. Jo was one of the original board of Trustees when we became a charity in Dec 2010. She served as Chair of Trustees until 2014 when she became our Honorary President.
Jo is an inspirational director and leader and has achieved amazing things at LAMDA in her time there as Principal, and the prospect of her at the helm of the Yvonne Arnaud is tremendous news for both the theatre, Guildford and regional theatre in general.
