GSC Saturdays

Saturday Drama Club

Every Saturday we ignite the imagination of young actors in small friendly groups. Working with professional actors and stage combat instructors, they play fun games, rehearse plays, strengthen their confidence and learn more about the exciting world of theatre.

So far this year, we've performed as part of The Sonnet Walk, our professional production, produced our own version of The Wind in the Willows at Watts Gallery, a 70s themed A Midsummer Night's Dream and recorded short audio-plays with Eagle Radio (To listen, please visit our Teaching Resources Page).

Adult Classes

The Bard's Not That Hard!

The Bard’s Not That Hard is the perfect way to introduce and rediscover the inspiring world of William Shakespeare and find out why his remarkable plays are still being performed 400 years on. Delivered by theatre professionals, GSC’s fun and practical evening classes are designed to help you discover The Bard in a fun and supportive environment.

We explore Shakespeare’s great plays through close reading, group discussion and practical exercises in our professional rehearsal room.

This is not an acting class and there will be tea and biscuits!

"A truly special term, there was a real sense of friendship and community created."
