VACANCY - Front of House Manager Summer 2013

We are looking for a Front of House Manager for our Summer 2013 Season, who will take charge of the onsite Bar and Box Office at the our open-air venues this summer.

Front of House Team

Throughout our Season we require volunteers to run our Box Office and Bar. These are the first people our audiences meet as they arrive and so we are always looking for bright and cheery personalities to join our Front of House team.

Duties include the selling of tickets, programmes, ponchos, etc. as well as running the licensed bar.

In return for your invaluable help you'll receive:

• a free drink during the performance
• 2 tickets for any performance of your choice

Our shows don't sell themselves, so during the months leading up to the Season we begin a vigorous publicity campaign, and an important part of this is the Letterbox Drop.

If you could take a bundle of flyers and drop them through your streets' letterboxes (and maybe round the corner too!) you would be helping spread the word of Guildford's award-winning theatre company.

Or maybe you have a notice board at work that would benefit from one our lovely posters?

The performances you see are just the tip of an enormous logistical ice-berg, which is in motion throughout the year.

The following are just some of the things that we are always looking for, so if you think you could be of help in any way we would love to hear from you:

• Storage Space
• Printing Services
• Accountancy Expertise
• Use of a van
• Space for a Season advertising banner
• You might run a business whose products we could use in the shows, for example a garden centre or a builders' merchants

We adore using interesting or unusual venues for our performances, so we're always keen to hear from people who have, or know of, a venue – a stately home, picturesque gardens, a barn, or maybe a disused factory or warehouse - that could provide another spectacular setting for a Guildford Shakespeare Company production.
