Shakespeare Frozen In Time – 23rd June 2007
To launch the opening of the Gallery's exhibition of images of British actors in Shakespearean roles from 1780s to 1920s, our actors performed walk-about bite-sized pieces of Shakespeare scenes including Orsino's famous opening scene in Twelfth Night, Beatrice and Benedick bickering around the Gallery rooms from Much Ado About Nothing, and we were given special permission to use the Gallery's own balcony to perform THAT scene from Romeo & Juliet in the High Street.
