“The active approach to Romeo and Juliet was fantastic - very
relevant to current work.”
Karen Wheeler, Cowplain Community School, Hampshire
GSC School Workshops are practical, engaging and bespoke, exploring the text as a script written for performance, and complement the specifications for the main exam boards EdExcel, AQA, WJEC and ORC.
We understand that all teachers’ needs are different, and so we tailor-make every workshop to your specific area of interest: from key scenes to over-riding themes, past workshops have included:
Romeo & Juliet: Investigating interpretations of Romeo and Mercutio
using Act 2, Scene 4.
Macbeth: Discovering how the relationship of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth evolves.
The Tempest: Exploring Power and Status, how the different groups
on the island use it.
Julius Caesar: Examining the theme of Persuasion
and the mindset of key characters.
Dream: All day workshop on Lovers and
Faeries, ending in a performance by pupils.
King Lear: Unlocking Tragedy in Performance.
From Primary to A-level, we will create the workshop that will work best for you.
A 2-hour workshop costs £210 - max 35 pupils -
that's just £6 per pupil!
(smaller class numbers (under 12) can be negotiated)
