On top of that, half of the morning will also be dedicated to Stage Fighting, which as well as an exhilarating skill, teaches participants about spatial awareness, clear storytelling, body language, and about working together.

GSC Drama Sprites
From January 2012 onwards GSC have launched a series of after-school Drama Clubs at local Primary Schools in Guildford for 7-11 year olds.
GSC Drama Sprites will teach your child to tell stories in a fun and interactive
way, to create characters, to use their imaginations and to work and play
as a team. Drama helps build confidence and teaches better communication
skills. We will even explore a Shakespeare character or two! Above all
we will have FUN!
These are currently at Queen Eleanor’s C of E Junior School, Northmead Junior School and Sandfield Primary School.
For an application form simply email us and we'll send the appropriate one out to you.
If you would like GSC to bring their drama classes to your school, contact Sarah by email, or call 07957 440866.
All GSC teachers are fully CRB checked and are professional actors/workshop leaders.
The Bard's Not That Hard!
How do actors create a Shakespearean character?
Ever wanted to understand how to read or watch a Shakespeare play better?
Have a burning desire to give it a go yourself?
Then the Bard's Not That Hard is just for YOU! (ages 18-108!)
Every week we’ll explore the key skills needed to equip the actor when approaching a text, and we’ll seek to clarify the mechanics behind speaking Shakespeare, finding the keys to open up this beautifully rich language.
These fun, practical evening classes are suitable for beginners as well as professionals, and are designed for you to get up on your feet and start speaking Shakespeare with confidence.
They’re also perfect for those who just want to learn more about Shakespeare, his plays and enhance your enjoyment of watching them! Last term's participants said:
"We have just loved your enthusiasm and the fun we have had - two words which I had previously thought were impossible to put in the same sentence as Shakespeare!"
"a truly special term, there was a real sense of friendship and community created."
"Such serious fun!"
Classes are run in a supportive and informal atmosphere by professional actors and workshop leaders who have a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience of working with Shakespeare.

6th Annual Shakespeare Summer School
We're back and twice as big!
This summer we'll be running two weeks of fun-packed, Shakespeare activity days, for different age groups: 7-11 years and 12-17 years.
Both weeks will feature games and exercises to help us get to grips with the language, discover extraordinary characters and explore their incredible worlds. Through playing and rehearsing we will work towards the staging of our own version of a Shakespeare play, finishing in a performance for family and friends at the end of the week.
The Shakespeare Summer School provides children, within a productive and supportive environment, to explore their imaginations and think innovatively and creatively together. The week is also a great way to make new friends, gain confidence and develop drama skills.
Absolutely no experience of Shakespeare or acting is necessary just bring yourself, heaps of energy and a desire to have some fun!
