In July 2017, our adult class recorded a special version of The Merchant of Venice. They prepared the scenes in our rehearsal room and recorded them at Eagle Radio's studio.

THE BARD'S NOT THAT HARD

The Bard’s Not That Hard is the perfect way to introduce and rediscover the inspiring world of William Shakespeare and find out why his remarkable plays are still being performed 400 years on. Delivered by theatre professionals, GSC’s fun and practical evening classes are designed to help you discover The Bard in a fun and supportive environment.

We explore Shakespeare’s great plays through close reading, group discussion and practical exercises in our professional rehearsal room.

This is not an acting class and there will be tea and biscuits!

2017 Dates

Autumn Term - ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA

Tuesday evenings, 7-9pm, 12 Sept - 28 Nov

(Two Week Half Term: 17 & 24 October; no class) 10 week term.

Venue: GSC HQ, 14/15 Midleton Road, Guildford, GU2 8XW.

Join us in our professional rehearsal room as we explore Shakespeare's great tragedy of love, duty and betrayal, Antony and Cleopatra. We will explore the play's iconic characters, their language and the impact of scenes in performance.
